URBANCITY.CO.ID – Sarawak Tourism Board (STB) menggelar roadshow ke Jakarta, Balikpapan, dan Banjarmasin. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dalam upaya meningkatkan kunjungan wisatawan asal Indonesia ke Serawak.
Roadshow ini diselenggarakan STB bersama Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council (MHTC), Tourism Malaysia Jakarta, serta Association of Indonesian Tours and Travel Agencies (ASITA and ASTINDO)
Duta Besar Malaysia untuk Indonesia Hasrin Tengku Hussin, mengungkapkan roadshow tersebut akan memperkuat dan mendorong industri pariwisata kedua negara.

“Tur atau roadshow ini telah berhasil memperkuat hubungan antara dua kota ikonis ini, dan kami dengan tangan terbuka mengundang para wisatawan untuk menjelajahi keindahan alam Sarawak, sebuah negeri yang kaya akan warisan budaya dan pelayanan yang ramah.” Ujarnya dalam acara peluncuran tur promosi di Jakarta, Senin, 18 September 2023.
Pemangku Kepala Eksekutif Lembaga Pelancongan Sarawak Yusfida Khalid mengungkapkan, saat ini arus bolak balik wisatawan kedua negara makin meningkat dengan adanya penerbangan langsung Jakarta – Serawak dari Air Asia.
Saat ini, wisatawan dari Indonesia dapat menikmati penerbangan langsung dari Jakarta ke Kuching melalui Air Asia setiap hari Selasa, Kamis, dan Sabtu.
“Konektivitas langsung yang tersedia melalui AirAsia memudahkan perjalanan para wisatawan dari Indonesia ke Sarawak, baik untuk tujuan kesehatan, liburan, rekreasi, maupun untuk berbelanja kerajinan tangan khas Sarawak dalam rangka inisiatif pariwisata di wilayah ini.” jelas Yusfida.
