URBANCITY.CO.ID – Ketua KPK Firli Bahuri resmi menjadi tersangka dalam kasus dugaan pemerasan terhadap eks Menteri Pertanian, Syahrul Yasin Limpo. Ancaman hukuman yang dihadapi Firli adalah penjara seumur hidup sesuai Pasal 12B, dengan denda minimal Rp 200 juta dan maksimal Rp 1 miliar.
Dirreskrimsus Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Safri mengatakan, Firli dipersangkakan Pasal 12e atau Pasal 12B. “Pasal 12B ayat 1, di ayat duanya disebutkan bahwa pidana bagi pegawai negeri atau penyelenggara negara sebagaimana yang dimaksud ayat 1, dipidana penjara seumur hidup atau pidana penjara paling singkat empat tahun dan paling lama 20 tahun,” ungkap Ade di Mapolda Metro Jaya, Rabu (22/11/2023).
Selain itu, Firli juga dijerat Pasal 11 UU Pemberantasan Tindak Pidana Korupsi, yang dapat mengakibatkan hukuman penjara satu hingga lima tahun, serta denda antara Rp 50 juta hingga Rp 250 juta.

Polda Metro Jaya menyelidiki pertemuan Firli dan Syahrul di lapangan badminton sebagai bagian dari kasus pemerasan ini. Sejak adanya pengaduan masyarakat pada 12 Agustus, polisi telah memeriksa 91 saksi. Kasus ini bermula dari dugaan pemerasan terkait korupsi di Kementerian Pertanian tahun 2021.
Eks penyidik KPK, Yudi Purnomo, menilai sebaiknya Firli segera mundur sebagai Ketua KPK setelah ditetapkan sebagai tersangka. Menurutnya, langkah ini lebih baik untuk kebaikan KPK agar tidak terbebani masalah hukum.
