“Kepala daerah hanya kalau untuk kejar pujian dia bilang sudah turun seenaknya itu angkanya, tapi pada dasarnya mereka enggak ngerti bagaimana mengatasi stunting,” kata Suharso dalam acara peluncuran buku Menuju Indonesia Emas di kantornya, Jakarta, Senin (20/11/2023).
Pemerintah telah memberikan insentif fiskal (penghargaan uang) kepada daerah yang menurunkan stunting tercepat dan terbaik pada 2022 sebesar Rp 1,68 triliun, yang diberikan kepada 90 daerah yang terdiri dari 20 provinsi, 30 kota, dan 40 kabupaten.
Sedangkan pada 2023, insentif fiskal diberikan penurunan stunting diberikan kepada 125 daerah yaitu tujuh provinsi, 21 kota, dan 97 kabupaten.
