Pemerintah telah memberikan insentif fiskal (penghargaan uang) kepada daerah yang menurunkan stunting tercepat dan terbaik pada 2022 sebesar Rp 1,68 triliun, yang diberikan kepada 90 daerah yang terdiri dari 20 provinsi, 30 kota, dan 40 kabupaten.
Sedangkan pada 2023, insentif fiskal diberikan penurunan stunting diberikan kepada 125 daerah yaitu tujuh provinsi, 21 kota, dan 97 kabupaten.
