URBANCITY.CO.ID – Penjabat (Pj.) Gubernur DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono mengatakan, Pemprov DKI terus berupaya meningkatkan pelayanan dalam upaya menjadikan Jakarta sebagai pusat medical tourism.
Menerut Pj. Gubernur Heru, hal yang harus disyukuri adalah rasio dokter spesialis di Jakarta sudah memenuhi standar WHO. Karena itu, hal yang perlu diupayakan bersama adalah meningkatkan kualitas layanan kesehatan di Jakarta sesuai dengan standar internasional.
“Kota Jakarta sedang bertransformasi, dari Ibu Kota Negara menjadi Kota Global dan Pusat Ekonomi Indonesia, serta berbenah untuk menjadi pusat Medical Tourism. Pelayanan kesehatan harus bisa meningkatkan rasa percaya masyarakat Jakarta yang berobat ke luar negeri,” kata Pj. Gubernur Heru saat membuka Seminar Ilmiah Jakarta Internal Medicine in Daily Practice (JIM DACE) 2023 di Hotel JW Marriot, Jakarta Selatan, Sabtu 16 September 2023.

Dalam seminar yang mengusung tema “Reinforcing Reliable and Competent Internist in Daily Practice”ini Pj Gubernur Heru menyampaikan, bahwa Pandemi COVID-19 masih berdampak terhadap pelayanan kesehatan di Indonesia, sehingga penyakit menular belum bisa diatasi dengan baik dan kasus Penyakit Tidak Menular (PTM) cenderung meningkat setiap tahunnya.
“Dokter Spesialis Penyakit Dalam dapat berperan besar untuk menurunkan kasus PTM karena cakupan diagnosis yang luas. Untuk itu, para dokter diharapkan terus mengikuti perkembangan keilmuan dan teknologi kedokteran dan terus memperbarui cara pendekatan diagnosis terhadap gejala-gejala yang dialami pasien,” terang Pj. Gubernur Heru.
