BNI secara aktif melakukan eksplorasi kebutuhan serta melakukan pendampingan dan penyediaan fasilitas bagi para diaspora agar mampu berdaya saing yang tinggi di luar negeri.
Total pembiayaan melalui program BNI Xpora hingga Juni 2023 telah mencapai Rp28,8 triliun. Kredit ini di dalamnya termasuk diaspora loan yang ditujukan untuk mengintegrasikan produk UMKM agar mampu go global.
Head of International Banking and Financial Institutions Division BNI Rima Cahyani mengatakan bahwa jumlah diaspora Indonesia mencapai lebih dari 7 juta orang di 65 negara di seluruh dunia.
Dia berpendapat kehadiran diaspora telah memainkan peran dan kontribusi yang signifikan bagi terhubungnya perekonomian Indonesia dengan global.
Sebagai bank dengan mandat menjadi bank global asal Indonesia dan mitra diaspora, perseroan berupaya proaktif mendukung penguatan jaringan dan kapabilitas diaspora.
“Dalam kesempatan baik ini kami ingin mengucapkan apresiasi setinggi-tingginya bagi para diaspora Indonesia yang telah memberikan kontribusinya bagi bangsa kita,” ungkapnya.
Rima menjelaskan bahwa kerja sama BNI dengan IDN Global dan BNI telah dimulai sejak 2022 lalu dengan ditandatanganinya nota kesepahaman antara kedua pihak.
Sejak awal, BNI menyadari bahwa kerja sama merupakan suatu langkah tepat bagi IDN Global maupun BNI yang memiliki semangat untuk menaikkelaskan UMKM melalui jaringan diaspora Indonesia
