Yakub Menjelaskan, dalam RPJMD (Rencana Pembangunan Jangka Menengah Daerah) Kota Tidore Kepulauan, sudah dimuat soal pengembangan rempah serta situs-situs sejarah rempah yang lalu, guna dikembangkan sebagai wisata sejarah. Pemkot juga telah mengusulkan Tidore sebagai Kawasan Strategis Pariwisata Nasional (KSPN) supaya Pemerintah Pusat dapat memperhatikan wisata sejarah.

Saat terpisah, Kapolres Tidore Kepulauan, Kombes Pol Yuri Nurhidayat menegaskan jika personel gabungan TNI-Polri akan mempertebal keamanan saat puncak peringatan Hari Nusantara 2023 yang juga dipusatkan di kawasan wisata Pantai Tugulufa Kota Tidore Kepulauan, Provinsi Maluku Utara (Malut).
