URBANCITY.CO.ID – Mahkamah Konstitusi (MK), resmi menolak gugatan usia calon presiden dan wakil presiden minimal 35 tahun. Sebelumnya gugatan tersebut diajukan Partai Solidaritas Indonesia (PSI).
Sidang uji materi Undang-Undang Nomor 7 Tahun 2017 tentang Pemilihan Umum (Pemilu) terkait batas usia capres cawapres tersebut digelar di Jakarta, Senin 16 Oktober 2023.
Sidang dipimpin oleh Ketua MK Anwar Usman dan dihadiri oleh sembilan hakim konstitusi.

“Menolak permohonan para pemohon untuk seluruhnya,” ucap Ketua MK Anwar Usman saat membacakan putusan.
Putusan tersebut diketok untuk gugatan nomor 29/PUU-XXI/2023. Menurut MK, penentuan usia minimal presiden dan wakil presiden menjadi ranah pembentuk undang-undang.
Sebelumnya gugatan diajukan oleh Partai Solidaritas Indonesia (PSI) dengan nomor gugatan 29/PUU-XXI/2023 dengan pemohon, Anthony Winza Prabowo, Danik Eka Rahmaningtyas, Dedek Prayudi, dan Mikhael Gorbachev Dom. Dalam petitumnya mereka meminta usia minimal capres-cawapres 35 tahun.

Sebelumnya, Kepala Biro Hukum Administrasi dan Kepaniteraan MK Fajar Laksono megatakan, sidang berlangsung mulai pukul 10.00 WIB dan digelar secara terbuka untuk umum di Gedung Mahkamah Konstitusi RI Lantai 2, Jakarta. Fajar menambahkan terkait pengamanan, MK telah berkoordinasi dengan Polri. (***)
