URBANCITY.CO.ID – PT PLN (Persero) sukses mendukung perhelatan puncak Sail Teluk Cenderawasih (STC) 2023 yang digelar di Kawasan Pantai Samau, Biak Numfor, Kamis, 23 November 2023.
Dengan pasokan listrik tanpa kedip, acara yang dihadiri langsung Presiden Joko Widodo (Jokowi) tersebut berjalan lancar.
Saat menyampaikan sambutan, Presiden Jokowi mengatakan Papua yang memiliki kekayaan alam berlimpah adalah beranda Indonesia di Kawasan Pasifik.
Teluk Cenderawasih yang punya ekosistem laut paling kaya dapat menjadi pilihan tepat untuk memperkenalkan potensi bahari, maritim, pariwisata dan sosial budaya Indonesia.
Hal tersebut sesuai dengan STC tahun ini yang mengusung tema “Memantapkan Kedaulatan Maritim Indonesia di Pasifik”.
Dengan adanya puncak acara Sail Teluk Cendrawasih 2023, budaya, tarian, musik, produk-produk lokal Papua dapat diperkenalkan ke level nasional bahkan internasional dan global.
“Ini akan mendorong jumlah wisatawan, akan mendorong event creator, akan mendorong minat investor untuk datang dan memajukan tanah Papua,” ujar Jokowi.
Presiden berharap agar event seperti STC 2023 ini bisa diteruskan serta ditingkatkan, terutama dengan melibatkan lebih banyak masyarakat dan Usaha Mikro Kecil Menengah (UMKM).
Dengan begitu, manfaat kegiatan ini dapat dirasakan masyarakat Papua hingga setelah acara. Setidaknya, puncak STC 2023 diperkirakan dihadiri oleh 10 ribu orang.
Direktur Distribusi PLN Adi Priyanto mengatakan, PLN memastikan keandalan listrik untuk acara tersebut di mana pasokan ditopang oleh sistem kelistrikan Biak yang memiliki kapasitas pembangkit memadai, demi memastikan mengamankan pasokan listrik Sail Teluk Cenderawasih 2023.
