URBANCITY.CO.ID – PT PLN (Persero) bersama Huawei Indonesia meresmikan kerja sama Joint Innovation Center (JIC) guna mempercepat pengembangan dan adaptasi teknologi baru, infrastruktur digital, serta transformasi digital.
Hal itu dilakukan untuk mendukung langkah transisi energi di Indonesia. Peresmian tersebut ditandai dengan signing agreement oleh kedua pihak di Kantor Pusat PLN, Jakarta, Jumat, 24 November 2023.
Direktur Utama PLN Darmawan Prasodjo menjelaskan, JIC merupakan wadah dan pusat pengembangan inovasi digital bersama, end to end dari bidang kelistrikan maupun diluar kelistrikan (Beyond kWh).
“Wadah tersebut dimaksudkan untuk memaksimalkan dan memperkokoh potensi-potensi bisnis yang dimiliki PLN,” jelas Darmawan Prasodjo usai peresmian kerja sama.
Menurut dia, transisi energi dari energi fosil ke energi baru terbarukan (EBT) merupakan tantangan besar yang PLN dan dunia hadapi saat ini. Untuk itu keberadaan JIC ini akan menjadi landasan kuat dalam menjawab setiap tantangan dalam mencapai misi.

”JIC ini akan menjadi landasan, di mana kita akan mampu memetakan setiap tantangan teknis, tantangan strategis, tantangan operasional, tantangan investasi, sedemikian rupa. Sehingga setiap tantangan dapat diatasi, dapat dimitigasi, dapat dikelola sehingga kita dapat terus bergerak maju dan mencapai misi,” ujarnya.
Darmawan melanjutkan, kolaborasi global semacam ini membuktikan kepada dunia bahwa PLN sangat serius dalam mengatasi perubahan iklim tak hanya di tingkat nasional dan kawasan tapi juga secara global.
