URBANCITY.CO.ID – PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk menggelar Bakti Sosial Operasi Katarak pada tanggal 13-15 Desember 2023 bertempat di RS Bhayangkara Kota Jayapura.
Kegiatan tersebut didukung oleh Kementerian Sosial RI serta bekerja sama dengan Perdami (Perhimpunan Dokter Spesialis Mata Indonesia) Cabang Papua, Biddokkes Polda Papua, serta YPP SCTV Indosiar.
Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dalam rangka membantu masyarakat mencegah gangguan penglihatan sehingga dapat beraktivitas secara normal.
Bakti Sosial ini melibatkan 8 orang petugas (dokter, perawat) yang turut dalam operasi serta menargetkan 100 mata pasien. Pasien operasi katarak ini mayoritas termasuk ke dalam kelompok lanjut usia dan tergolong masyarakat kurang mampu.

Menteri Sosial RI, Tri Rismaharini, meninjau pelaksanaan Bakti Sosial Operasi Katarak di RS Bhayangkara Kota Jayapura pada Kamis (13/12/2023) didampingi oleh Pimpinan BNI Wilayah Papua serta Direktur RS Bhayangkara Kota Jayapura.
Tri Rismaharini yang akrab disapa Risma menyempatkan menyapa para pasien yang sedang menunggu di ruang tunggu.
Pasien operasi katarak sangat mengapresiasi atas adanya kegiatan yang sangat membantu para penderita katarak karena dengan kondisi gangguan penglihatan yang mereka alami membuat produktivitas mereka menurun.
Dengan adanya Bakti Sosial Operasi Katarak ini, diharapakan mampu mencegah penderita katarak dari kebutaan efek penyakit katarak dan dapat meningkatkan produktivitas dan kesejahteraan mereka ke depannya.
