Sejumlah warga di Desa Cijengkol, Kec. Setu dan Grand Residence City Bekasi, misalnya, mengeluh karena rumahnya retak-retak.
Bahkan, beberapa warga mendadak sesak nafas (Inpeksi Saluran Pernapasan/ISPA) lantaran menghirup debu akibat pengerjaan proyek tersebut.
Ketua RW 014 Desa Cijengkol, Abib Endang Trisnawan. mengakui, sebanyak tujuh orang warganya tekena gangguan pernafasan dan terpaksa harus dilarikan ke rumah sakit.
Padahal, sebelumnya tidak pernah punya riwayat penyakit tersebut. Sedangkan berdasarkan laporan warga, tedapat sebanyak 15 unit mengalami retak akibat kencangnya getaran mesin alat berat pengerjaan proyek Tol Cimanggis – Cibitung.
“Salah satu penyebab utamanya adalah terlalu banyak menghisap debu. Ini yang bilang dokter. Kami tidak asal bicara, ada bukti rekam medis dari Rumah Sakit Hermina,” katanya saat ditemui usai acara mediasi antara warga dengan PT Cimanggis Cibitung Tollways (CCT) dan PT Waskita Karya, Selasa, 17 Oktober 2023.
Karenanya, Abib, mewakili warga menuntut PT Cimanggis Cibitung Tollways (CCT) dan PT Waskita Karya selaku pelaksana proyek agar memberikan kompensasi dana pengobatan serta perbaikan rumah. Selain itu, meminta pembatasan jam kerja pembangunan proyek tidak 24 jam karena menggangu warga.
“Setidaknya, jam kerja bisa dikurangi paling lama sampai pukul 22.00 WIB. Pengerjaan proyek yang non stop membuat warga tidak dapat beristirahat nyaman, padahal mereka dituntut harus bangun pagi-pagi untuk bekerja,” jelasnya.
