URBANCITY.CO.ID – Penyidik Dittipidum Bareskrim Polri meningkatkan status penanganan kasus dugaan ujaran kebencian atau berita bohong dengan terlapor pengamat politik Rocky Gerung ke tahap penyidikan.
Menurut Dirtipidum Bareskrim Polri Brigjen Pol Djuhandhani Rahardjo Puro, peningkatan status penanganan kasus pengamat politik itu didasari hasil gelar perkara yang sudah dilakukan.
“RG sudah kita gelarkan, dan setelah digelarkan oleh penyidik, kita sepakat untuk menaikkan perkara itu dari penyelidikan menjadi penyidikan,” ujar Djuhandhani kepada wartawan, Senin 30 Oktober 2023.

Lebih lanjut, peningkatan status penanganan kasus tersebut dilakukan setelah adanya tindak pidana atas atas hasil gelar perkara.
“Adapun proses ini bahwa kita mengetahui atau hasil gelar perkara diketahui bahwa telah terjadi suatu tindak pidana. Kalau berbicara alat buktinya apa saja, itu tentu saja nanti kita setelah melaksanakan upaya penyidikan,” katanya.
Sebelumnya, Dittipidum Bareskrim Polri mendalami laporan dugaan penyebaran berita bohong atau hoax dengan terlapor pengamat politik Rocky Gerung.
Kabar naiknya kasus ini ke Penyidikan diketahui berdasarkan adanya Surat Pemberitahuan Dimulainya Penyidikan (SPDP) dari Bareskrim Polri yang diterima Kejaksaan Agung.

“Jaksa Agung Muda Bidang Tindak Pidana Umum (Jampidum) Kejaksaan Agung telah menerima SPDP dari Bareskrim Polri atas nama Terlapor RG (Rocky Gerung) dkk,” ujar Kapuspenkum Kejaksaan Agung Ketut Sumedana dalam keterangannya, Sabtu 21 Oktober 2023.
